Jaipur - a city that smells of History. A wonderful playground of red and pink sandstone that breathes its culture and beauty even today.
From the minute you enter Jaipur, you fall in love with it.

After the pre-monsoons lashed out all afternoon the evening turned out to be a rather floozie and promiscuous one. It was still pretty bright outside but there was absolutely no way the sun was going to come out from behind the cloud curtains. So we decided to go on a drive- me and Shantu.
It was a road that i hadn't been on for almost seven years.
So cutting through the evening traffic we were finally on Koradi Road, on route to our beloved 'Modern School', with a lovely camera in our hands and taking in all the muddy water the trucks could splash on us.. {What a day to wear Whites}.. we finally made it there.
Now a hell lot has changed in the school, i will let you find that out.

The Sheperd and his Friend..

So the Sheperd and his friend left off .. one fine wintery day, when some people were celebrating Makar Sankranti.. we left our homes at around 12 in the afternoon. Experience has taught me to blindly trust uncle Hazro's(the Sheperd's) instincts when it comes to travelling .
So i was just driving wherever he wanted to go. And mann... it was one hell of a ride.

On the way, we saw this 'Kati Patang'.. we stopped and picked it up. It sat with us all the way back to kgp.

And then the sheperd boy(more like .. a Sheperd uncle) with the kite on his back .. trying to convince his sheep that its time to go home. He whispers something to them.

They nod saying No. The sheperd is thinking," What will i do with them ?"

The Sheperd is an old man, he tries to chase the sheep and they run away.

The Sheperd's young friend tries to chase the sheep.. but he aint that young himself. [:D

The Sheperd is disgusted !!!

The Sheperd goes over the hedge to look for his sheep.

He sits on the river bed .. hoping to see the sheep on the other side..

The Sheperd's friend tries to catch a goat in the mean time.. with little luck again.. Gasping and panting he says, "Mannnn.. they are fast".. the sheperd says, "You are sloooooowww".

The Sheperd's friend as a mark of protest acts as if he is peeing in the lake that the sheperd's clan reveres... The Sheperd angered with this act.. wanders off to the woods..

Only to find him is difficult situations .. and noone to give a hand .. The sheperd gives up and he and his friend decide not to go for any more goats or sheep.. So the sheperd goes to the first love of his life.. (Sheep and Goats were always secondary.. )

POWERPLANTs and POWERLINEs .. the Sheperd's First Love...

The Sheperd says, "People dont see the beauty in these structures .. they are like mini-Eiffel Towers (without Tom Cruise- Katie Holmes sitting on them)"..

The Sheperd's friend find this very appealing ..

So they become friends again ..

And make a promise that no sheep or goat will ever ruin their friendship.. :D :D
